
2025 Swim Program Registration
Sign your child(ren) up for an exciting 2-weeks of swimming lessons from July 21st to August 1st! Designed for ages 5 through 14, this Red Cross certified program is a fantastic opportunity for young swimmers to develop their skills in a fun and engaging environment.
Classes will be taught by experienced instructors Frank Rocco and Madelyn Weaver, who create a supportive and motivating atmosphere to ensure every child feels confident and enthusiastic about learning to swim.

What Your Child Will Learn During Our Swim Lessons
Beginner Class (Ages 5-7):
Water Safety Basics: Understanding the importance of water safety, including “look before you leap” principles.
Floating Techniques: Learning how to float on their back and front.
Basic Breath Control: Practicing holding their breath and blowing bubbles in the water.
Introduction to Kicking: Learning to kick their legs while holding onto the pool's edge or a floatation device.
Simple Arm Movements: Introduction to basic arm strokes (such as dog paddle) and how to combine these with kicking.
Entry and Exit Techniques: Safe ways to enter and exit the pool.
Kindergarten must be completed for your child to participate in this course.
Intermediate Class (Ages 8-10):
Refined Water Safety Skills: Building on safety skills learned in the beginner class.
Endurance Swimming: Developing endurance by gradually increasing the distance swum.
Stroke Improvement: Enhancing basic strokes (freestyle and backstroke) and beginning to learn breaststroke.
Breath Control: Practicing rhythmic breathing techniques while swimming.
Diving Skills: Introduction to basic diving techniques from the pool's edge.
Advanced Class (Ages 11-14):
Competitive Stroke Techniques: Mastering advanced strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly) with a focus on technique and efficiency.
Endurance and Speed Training: Developing speed and endurance for lap swimming and competitive events.
Starts and Turns: Learning competitive starts, flip turns, and open turns.
Water Safety Command: Practicing advanced water safety, including rescue techniques and responding to emergencies.
Introduction to Conditioning: Basic strength and conditioning exercises aimed at improving swimming performance. Each level builds on the skills learned in the previous class, ensuring a gradual progression in swimming abilities and water safety knowledge.
Your child may be subject to being placed in a different class depending on skill level. We will contact you in a timely manner if we feel the move is necessary.
